Some interesting discussion on this subject on the Forum, at the Muster and going back to the Competition that started the topic.  All seemed to be related to there being no statement in the judging rules that a facet must be flat.  There are a number of dictionary defininitions of facet in relation to gemstones that use the terms "flat" and "plane" so is a definition of facet needed?

Also thank you for the survey in the latest FT.  I am in favour and will complete and return the survey in due course.
