AFG Gold Coast Group

Meet: 1st Tuesday every 2nd month at 7.30pm

Our group has been active for 10 years, discussions on general faceting topics within group, demonstrations of new and novel equipment, new diagrams, Gemcad and all sundry topics to create general interest. Reports in facet talk and meeting dates.

About the group:        The Group was started by Peter Collins and others shortly after the Australian Facetors' Guild was born. Our Group would be probably one of the oldest within the AFG. It originally incorporated the South Burnett area as well.

 


AFG Moreton Bay Group

About the group: 

The group meets at the Mitchelton Gem Club's rooms at 40 Ferneydell Street, Ashgrove, Brisbane, at 9:30 am on the first Sundays in February, June and October.        

The group also meets at the Mount Gravatt Lapidary Society’s club rooms at 1873 Logan Road, (Carsons Lane), Upper Mt Gravatt, Brisbane, at 9:30 am on the first Sundays in April, August and December (Christmas Party).

We start at 9:30 am with a short meeting followed by morning tea and a talk and discussion about faceting topics. Our members have many years of experience and share much valuable information to the group. 

Some of the topics for future meetings are Gemcad and Gemray, Gem Identification, Re-dopping methods and dopping for re-cut and gold prospecting, etc.
