I wanted to buy a cerium oxide coated lightning lap but found that although the lap cost American$ 40 the postage cost to the UK was $100.
Is there an Australian equivalent lap available ?
Not aware of anything similar in Australia. Could try making contact with the US supplier, i recently had a similar USA experience, I contacted the supplier & he cut the postage from $90 to $20 for a book. Said it was a glitch with his web page defaulting to a certain supplier or something.

$40 US for a CeOx Lightning Lap equates to $105 AUD at Gemcuts after postage to Australia, and that's because Gemcuts gets them shipped over in bulk orders. I'm not sure what postage from Australia to the UK would be, but you need to consider it.
It may be worth your while contacting Marsh Howard at Lightning Lap ((423) 396-9793, facetor98@yahoo.com) and ask about slower cheaper postage options from the US to the UK. His details were from a business card with one of my laps a few years ago.
