It's with the webmaster now. Give it a bit of time & it will be up shortly.

Giving people a bit if time to digest the 2024 comp.

The 2025 Competition Schedule is now available on this website under  Events.

Hope to see a lot of entries next year for 2025.

A challenge in there for the designers using GemCad & Gem Cut Studio.

    Hi Paul,

The table on the 7th page (counting the coversheet) of the Competition Schedule specifies Colourless Topaz for Section O.10.1 of the Competition (Markeasy), but the sheet containing the cutting diagram specifies Colourless Cubic Zirconia and the cutting diagram specifies the RI for the angles as 2.160.

The cutting instructions are more specific and later in the document so naturally I've cut my first attempt at the entry using CZ.  My wife has that as the girdle had to be adjusted for a piece that chipped out and I couldn't be bothered re-transferring the stone and re-establishing the girdle meets on the Pavillion.  The missing meets won't be noticed once the stone is in a setting.

Should we be entering CZ or Topaz in sectionO.10.1?

    Regards

    Gordon Perkins

Section O.10.1 should be cut in Colourless CZ as per the diagram on page 18.

I originally had cut this in Topaz and missed changing the wording on page 8.
