Hi I'm probably answering my own question but is the 7.0mm across shortest axis of plan view for example the oblong step cut is it the minimum width of the stone that is being referred to?
Hi Stephen, Yes, it is measured across the Shortest Axis of the Plan View, which for an Oblong Step Cut is across the width. Don't forget about L/W.
Caution, for other designs, such as I.10.3 Mixed Cut, the Judge measures it across opposite flats, not the W dimension on the diagram, as across the flats is the shortest axis.
