Where there is smoke there just might be fire. A problem arises that Teflon is not just Teflon.  It has additives that are not disclosed on the product Material Safety Data Sheet citing "trade secret" as the reason. At least this is the case with Super Lube which I believe is the substance used by some facetors. Some health concerns regarding Teflon additives are mentioned on the internet so I would caution its use. I purchased a tube many years ago and I have never used it. Some time ago I noticed a small box of faceted gems in a display case at Pat's Gems in Sapphire and they had a very high quality polish. I asked Pat "who cut these stones and what was used for the polish". Pat informed me that she had cut the stones and that water was used.
