I own an old gemmasta 3 and am wondering if anyone has any ideas on how modify the protractor into a digital protractor,I have read Andrew Brown's profile and how he modified his gf4 with an optical encoder so I'm wondering if anyone has any other ideas on how to achieve this.
I have converted my GF4 with an optical encoder.I had a lot of help from another member. There is some good information in the Aussie Sapphire forum.
My machining and electronics was approx $500
My system works very well and the accuracy of the system I have is .018 of a degree.
